Meet the Owners of The Finery: Our Story
Hi friends, we’re Lauren and Jeff— the husband-and-wife team behind The Finery. We’re so excited you’ve found us, and even more excited to share a little bit of our story with you.
Like many of our couples, we chose a path that was simple, meaningful, and focused entirely on us: we eloped. At the time, it made sense — though with two big families, it wasn’t exactly the most popular choice! To balance things out, we hosted a small reception later back home with our loved ones. Looking back, if a place like The Finery had been an option, we would have jumped at the chance for an intimate wedding that combined the best of both worlds.
How We Got Here
The Finery was lovingly built by Kim and Tony, who poured their hearts into creating a venue that made weddings both beautiful and approachable. They gave couples a foundation where celebrations didn’t have to mean stress, endless checklists, or spending the equivalent of a down payment on a house.
When the opportunity came to purchase this property and business from them, we knew it was the right step. They had built something special, and we felt called to carry it forward. Our hope is to honor what they started while continuing to create space for couples who want something heartfelt, intentional, and stress-free.
Why Small Matters to Us
We’re all for big weddings — some people truly thrive with a grand celebration — but that’s not the experience everyone is looking for. We personally identify more with the smaller, more focused events: the kind where you don’t have to juggle hundreds of details, where you can actually spend time with your guests, and where the focus stays on what really matters — your commitment to each other.
That’s why our elopement and micro-wedding packages are designed to be simple, beautiful, and as stress-free as possible. For couples who dream of a more customized event, our full-day rentals provide a blank canvas while still keeping the guest count small and the vibe intentional.
